In 1990, Olean General Healthcare scored in the top 10% of organizations accredited by the Join Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations - the nation's most prestigious healthcare quality review panel for home health care.

In 1993, 1997, 2000 and 2003 following three-year reviews which included on-site inspection of all Patient Management Centers, Olean General Healthcare was again accredited by the JCAHO.


Our Mission

Olean General Healthcare will help patients be
compliant with their physician's orders. We
accomplish this by being a leader in providing
adult home-based disease awareness programs
for cardio-pulmonary, neuromuscular and sleep
disorders. We provide all individuals access to
local expertise, combined with experience in
home oxygen and medical equipment services.
In meeting this mission, Olean General Healthcare
will work with the physician and other referral
sources to assure the patient receives the most
effective and economical form of equipment or

•  HME Excellence Award first runner-up for 2002-2003 as "Best Respiratory Company" in the USA.
•  Inaugural recipient of the NYS Society for Respiratory Care's "Adirondack Award" in 1993 recognizing excellence in respiratory care personnel, equipment and service. Awarded a second time to Olean General Healthcare in 1995.
