HOME OXYGEN PROGRAM
Knowing that one oxygen system will not be best for all patients,
Licensed Respiratory Clinicians develop an individualized plan
of care, based on patient needs, home environment and physician's
recommendation as to which type of system should be
provided:

FreeStyle Portable Concentrator
Our trained staff follows each patient individually through
scheduled home visits to reinforce proper use of equipment and
to ensure that the proper procedures are followed. During these
visits, written patient assessments are performed, oxygen safety is
reinforced and equipment is checked.
At Olean General Healthcare, patient comfort and mobility are of key
importance. We have portable systems to help maintain freedom.
Our staff can even help arrange oxygen for out-of-town trips.
RESPIRATORY EQUIPMENT
State-of-the-art equipment and in-depth instruction provided by
experienced clinicians combine to make the most reliable respiratory
home therapy available. We instruct our patients and
their family or friends carefully in the use of all equipment.
For the more high-tech respiratory equipment such as
Ventilators and BiPAP-ST, we begin instruction in the hospital
prior to discharge. This may involve interfacing with home
nursing staff to ensure that everyone involved in home patient
care is confident in equipment use and procedures.

RESPIRATORY MEDICATION PROGRAM
If your doctor determines that a nebulizer is best for you, we can
deliver the equipment right to your home. A professionally
trained technician will show you how to use the nebulizer and
medication to receive maximum benefit from your therapy.
Medicare covers most nebulized medications used in respiratory
care. Unlike many pharmacies, the Olean General Healthcare
Pharmacy works with Medicare to save you money. We also
accept most other insurance plans. In addition, one of our
respiratory coordinators will contact you every month regarding
refills.
We bring the pharmacy right to your door. Initial delivery and
refills will be delivered to your home at no cost to you.
HOME MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
Patient comfort and compliance can be best assured through
careful product selection and expert fitting. Our staff receives
extensive training in the proper use and fitting of home medical
equipment. In turn, we train the patient and family/caregiver
in its safe and effective use.
